Hype Label of the Month: Incorrect Music

Hype Label of the Month: Incorrect Music

A celebrated home for some of the tech house scene’s most debaucherous, dope, and club-heavy creations, Incorrect Music is the Chicago-based label that’s been on a roll for over a decade.

An outstanding labor of love that further proves Chicago is the best hub for tech house in the United States, the label Incorrect Music continues to tear it up far and wide with a stacked discography that seeks out dance floors with a proper and mischievous after-hours attitude. Established in 2010 in Detroit by the widely respected Midwest DJ/producer Anthony Attalla, his imprint migrated to the Windy City in 2014, acting as a platform for emerging tech house acts to strut their most remarkable sounds. With an ethos that never aims to be correct — only to bear tracks that deliver attitude on the dance floor — the Incorrect Army has grown to include some of the scene’s top producers, hailing from over 20 countries. These names include Dale Howard, Gene Farris, Huxley, DJ Susan, Carlo Lio, DJ Deeon, Joeski, The Deepshakerz, Ramon Tapia, and many more.

As Incorrect continues churning out one chart-topping tune after another, we caught up with label head Anthony Attalla to learn more about the origins of Incorrect Music, the imprint’s dance floor perspective, its most essential tracks, and beyond.
