It’s that time again! IMS and Beatport are elated and ready to announce details of the Beatport headquarters’ programming during IMS Ibiza 2023 this May. In an attempt to keep the information concise, we’ve cherry-picked a handful of highlights but rest assured, there are even more details and talks just waiting to be discovered. See below for some of our most exciting announcements of what is now officially called the Beatport Base.
The programming is jam-packed with artists, DJs, key personnel from The Beatport Group, with colleagues from across the industry, including LabelRadar, Plugin Boutique, ampsuite, and Loopmasters. Some of the key talent appearing at the Beatport Suite include Spanish DJ and producer Indira Paganotto, Afro House artist Fiona Kraft and an important conversation around the topic Get Played, Get Paid. (Get Played, Get Paid explores cutting-edge tactics to maximise your performance income with DJ Monitor and ampsuite.) And on the Thursday, you can catch another important conversation with the global hub that is Future Female Sounds. In terms of other key speakers, Beatport’s Robb McDaniels will be appearing on the Friday with Andreea Gleeson, who is the CEO of TuneCore. And from 5-6 PM on the Wednesday, you will be able to come and chat informally with members of the Beatport Group at the base. There’s never been a better time to come and explore electronic music conversation up close and personal.

DJAAYZ: DISRUPTING THE BOOKING INDUSTRY

Sydney Blu will talk about her #23by23 initiative and the importance of signing women, trans and non-binary artists to record labels. We will also discuss best practices labels can take to diversify through A&R and proactively seeking female and gender non-conforming artists that encompass the sound that a label is looking for.
