Having released on labels like Cajual and Hardgroove, this DJ duo have just officially launched their fresh Hybrid Spasm label with the noteworthy belter, “LOUI3,” which has already been described as a gritty, jacking love letter to the cathartic power of music. Throughout the song, Black Girl / White Girl drive home several of the project’s key themes, such as unconditional love, loss and an ongoing quest to transform emotions into inspiration and a celebration of life. It’s already been described in some quarters as “tune of the year so far.” And while it’s still too early in 2023 to say, it’s hard to fault the enthusiasm of Tom Ravenscroft.

Meanwhile, the track itself was made in tribute to a dearly-departed pooch. “This song comes from an emotional place. In its essence, ‘LOUI3’ is about celebrating one’s life, about expressing to someone you’ve lost that you’re always thinking of them, that they live in your heart, and that you are forever connected. It’s an unconditional love that will endure forever — an indestructible kind of love. We wrote this as a dedication to our dog Louie as it was important for us to express our emotions through lyrics and music.”
