UK University Students can enter for their chance to win a livestream performance in the French Alps alongside acts like Krystal Klear, S.P.Y, Crazy P, Shy FX, and more!
Beatport has teamed up with Wasteland Travel — the UK’s leading Gen Z travel and event company, that takes University students to the Alps for skiing by day and parties by night.
Beatport and Wasteland will host four livestreams from the stunning ski resorts of Les Deux Alpes, Alpe D’Huez, Tignes, and Val Thorens between December 2022 – March 2023.
These will be the season’s opening parties for UK students from Universities, including Bristol, Manchester, St Andrews and University College London. Each week’s event will be headlined by top-tier electronic acts, including Shy FX & MC Dynamite, Krystal Klear, Mungos HiFi, S.P.Y & MC LowQui, Crazy P, Holy Goof and more.
In addition to the livestreams, there will be an open call for up-and-coming DJs from UK-based Unis to upload a five-minute mix to LabelRadar as part of a DJ mix competition. Beatport and Wasteland will judge the first round of applicants.
DJ Woody Cook — the son of famed British DJ Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim) — will then select the three winners who will get to play a DJ set in the Alps at a Wasteland Travel event. The winners will also receive a free ski holiday to the Wasteland week where they will DJ.
