Over the past five years, Hard Trance Europe (aka HTE Recordings) has wasted no time establishing itself as one of clubland’s foremost purveyors of tough, direct, and uncompromising trance music. With widespread support from scene leaders such as Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, David Rust, and many more, the label’s sound has spread far and wide across the global trance arena. Now with over 180 releases under its belt, the imprint has provided us with ingenious records from Symmetrik, AlexMo, Perfect Poise, R.E.L.O.A.D., DJ Wag, J Rogers, and many more.
Featuring four color-coded in-imprint divisions, HTE Recordings caters to everything from the more uplifting to the dark and dismal through to tech trance, acid, classic hard trance, freeform, and beyond. With all of this in mind, it’s safe to say that HTE’s quest for breaking down musical barriers is very much in process.
We linked up with Hard Trance Europe founder Nick Coles (aka Nick The Kid) to get the scoop on his label’s sound, its history, musical outlook, plans for the future, and some of its most essential tracks. Check out the video below!
