Playlist of the Week: Fleur Shore

Playlist of the Week: Fleur Shore

One of Birmingham’s most cherished DJ/producers, Fleur Shore, takes us through her favorite ’90s and contemporary house bangers for Beatport’s Playlist of the Week.

My DJ name is Fleur Shore and in fact, it’s also my birth name. I’m a DJ/producer from Birmingham, UK.

If you look through my Beatport chart you will find all things house. You’ll probably notice that all the tracks I have picked are heavily influenced by old ’90s house sounds, this is where I get a lot of my influence for my own tracks!

I believe a DJ should be searching hard for their tracks, this makes them unique compared to everyone else.

Check out Fleur Shore’s playlist on Beatport.

Fleur Shore – Communication [Moscow Records]

This was my first release on Moscow records, i’m a massive fan of Archie Hamilton’s music, so it was an absolute dream to be able to release on his label.

Fleur Shore – Brothers [Moscow Records]

Again, it was a dream to release on this label. As with the 20 tracks in my playlist, this track is heavily influenced by the 90’s house records that I collect.

Fleur Shore, Jesse Calosso – Greenhouse [Boogeyman]

This record is so me! Speed garage influence with a massive bassline!

Cockroach – Pearl (Bright Edit) [Compose Records]

I absolutely love this record, the vocals and the synth work are incredible. ’90s MASSIVE!

So Inagawa – No More Thrills (Dyed Soundorom Remix) [Tsuba]

“No More Thrills” is deep and underground. Not much going on in this track but it’s a roller, and the bassline is incredible.

Daniel Orpi – Angel De La Guarda [Whippin]

Wicked track! It’s got a serious groovy and Latino vibes, and makes me want to move my hips.

D’Julz – Hip House Soup Main Mix [Honchos Music]

D’Julz… French wizard more like. I am in love with the acid bassline on this track, it’s so twisted.

Products Of Progress – A Little More Dub [Nice ’N’ Ripe]

This track was one of the main influences for my collaboration with Jesse Calosso. Full garage flavours.

Santos – The Rhythm Santos Edit [Mantra Vibes]

“The Rhythm” this track is one of my favourites on vinyl. I play this in nearly every set. The M1 organ just does something to me that I can’t explain.

iO (Mulen) – Dublicity Original Mix [NM2]

iO (Mulen) doing what he does best, creating a groovy, driving track.

Audiofly X – 1999 Original Mix [8Bit]

This track has a special place in my heart. This was one of the first tracks I ever heard in Amnesia in ibiza in 2013, the first time I visited the White Isle.

Kenny Dope – Just Me & You (Five Oh Mix) [Dopewax]

’90s house at its finest, this track is older than me!

Quell – Joy [These Days]

Feel-good house music! The strings and stabs are incredible. Tell me how happy you’d be to hear this in a club?

Gene, Deep’a & Biri – Redshift (Argy Remix) [Black Crow Recordings]

Argy, another wizard. The chords and vocals in this track are so so good. KILLER!

Todd Terry – Don’t You Want Some More [Freeze Records]

I’m really seeing a theme here with these 90’s house riddims haha! I love them, the main influence for my productions.

Inland Knights – Just Pump [Drop Music]

Inland Knights I’d say are one of my favourite duos, every single track they make is unreal.

Phil Weeks, Chris Carrier – Juice (feat. Phil Weeks) [Off Recordings]

Phil weeks, another one of my favourite producers, again a French wizard.

Hanfry Martinez, Terence : Terry – Cornelius Is Gaye [La Vie En Rose]

Terence : Terry, what an absolute G! All of his tracks are so so so good! If you haven’t already check him out, he’ll blow your mind!

S.A.S. – Straight Off The Bone [Foot and Mouth]

All I’m saying about this one is BASSLINE!

Alci – Naked Sucker [Robsoul Recordings]

“Naked Sucker” – groovy or what? Makes you wanna shake your ass!

Phil Weeks, Demuir – To Be A Star [Purveyor Underground]

Phil weeks again, house, house and more house. I love how he uses his own vocals on this track, super creative!
