Our expert curation team brings you the best tracks on Beatport you may have missed. This time featuring Emily Nash, Axis, BYOR, Marc Benjamin, and more.
Seth Hills, Crime Zcene – Illumination (feat. ALBA) [STMPD RCRDS]
Any EDM fan is familiar with STMPD RCRDS’ iconic catalog that’s been celebrated for their high-energy big room anthems, but I’ve been so impressed with some of the radio-friendly tunes they’ve signed recently. No stranger to the label, electro house warriors Seth Hills and Crime Zcene come together for a memorable dance tune that cuts deep: “Illumination” featuring ALBA pulls you into an intimate corner and keeps you dialed in with an unforgettable vocal — seriously, it’s been stuck in my head for weeks (but I’m not mad about it).
Emily Nash – Garden [Ministry of Sound Recordings]
This one comes from a future dance music icon: Emily Nash was chosen to represent Beatport Next’s Class of 2022 because of her unique approach to creating music at just 20 years old. I fell in love with her latest single “Garden” via Ministry of Sound Recordings for the entire package: haunting yet gorgeous vocals on top of a driving bassline hits my sweet spot.
Marc Benjamin, Jay Mason – Human Heart [Future House Music]
It seems that Marc Benjamin can do it all: mainstage bangers, soothing future house gems, and pure dance music that fits right at home on the radio. Out now via Future House Music, Marc Benjamin and Jay Mason craft a gorgeous love song on “Human Heart,” delivering emotion in the form of sweet, upbeat melodies. I find myself coming back to this tune just to sing along over and over again — I can’t get enough!
Audien – Wish It Was You (feat. Cate Downey) (Axis Remix) [Armada Music]
I was immediately hooked on Audien’s “Wish It Was You” featuring Cate Downey on my first listen because of its epic, uplifting vibe — then, I discovered a remix that manages to elevate Audien’s original work. Axis takes on “Wish It Was You” for a larger-than-life reinterpretation, creating the perfect soundtrack for driving on an empty freeway with all the windows down.
JUSCUZ, Le Castle Vania – To the Edge (feat. Akylla) [Always Never]
This triple-threat production comes from Le Castle Vania, JUSCUZ, and Akylla: “To The Edge” demonstrates the beauty of crossing over genres with its catchy dance flair combined with a bit of ruthless electro house influence — I wouldn’t expect any less from Le Castle Vania.
BYOR – Faces [Tomorrowland Music]
In case you missed the announcement, the world-famous Tomorrowland brand has launched its own label to uplift dance music’s legends of tomorrow. I was thrilled when I found out the label tapped BYOR for a release, an artist who continues to be on repeat in my house. On “Faces,” BYOR delivers his signature eclectic sound which incorporates bits and pieces from the genre spectrum. Sometimes glitchy and futuristic and other times uplifting and melodic, this track has it all.
BOMBAYS – PISCES [Uprise Music]
I first discovered BOMBAYS in 2020 and knew he’d be an artist to watch. Pulling from multiple influences and genres, BOMBAYS excels in writing both club-adjacent cuts and memorable dance tunes. On “PISCES,” BOMBAYS strips down his sound for a track that’s somehow both upbeat and mysterious — it just works!
