Berlin’s Julien Bracht recruits Detroit legend DJ Stingray to deliver a new and chaotic dance floor weapon.
German electronic producer and live artist Julien Bracht has tapped masked Detroit techno icon DJ Stingray to remix his collaborative single with Enyang Ha, “Streets” — out now via System Records.
One of the lead tracks off Bracht’s latest Now Forever One LP, “Streets” is the second remix to come from Julien’s critically acclaimed album following Vril‘s phenomenal rework of “Breaking The Waves.”
A pivotal figure in the rise of Detroit’s techno and electro scene, DJ Stingray’s frenetic and unstoppable sound brings a new ruthless disposition to the track. Repurposing the original tune’s lush arrangement with booming bass and ringing drum patterns, DJ Stingray’s remix of “Streets” delivers a whole new element of fury to the dance floor. Check out the remix below.
“It’s an absolute honour to have such a historically important techno artist as a remixer on my debut album,” says Julien Bracht. “Detroit is often the root of my inspiration in electronic music, and I am absolutely in love with this new version of my track ‘Streets.’ It is an impeccable electronic weapon that will hopefully be played on a lot of techno floors around the planet.”
