The dance music wunderkind delivers an intoxicating club mix of his “Safe & Sound” single ahead of his new The Pattern EP — out via Tomorrowland Music on October 22nd.
Hailing from the UK, 22-year-old dance music phenomenon Curbi is gearing up to release his new six-track EP, The Pattern, via Tomorrowland’s brand new music label, Tomorrowland Music.
With almost 50 releases under his belt over the past five years with tracks on revered labels like Monstercat, SPINNIN’ RECORDS, Dim Mak, Ultra, Musical Freedom, and more, Curbi shows no signs of slowing his rapid rise towards global superstar status. Racking up millions of streams for tracks like “Lied To,” Spiritual,” and “Vertigo,” the clubland prodigy is leading the pack for electronic music’s next generation.
With The Pattern EP arriving on October 22nd, we get a fresh take on the artist’s torrid and resolute lead single, “Safe & Sound.” Tucked in between its patient build and alluring breakdown, Curbi’s expert synth work blast off with a vacillating, hands-in-the-air sequence and blissed-out vocal hits that duck and bump throughout the melodic house gem. Listen to the track below.
“When the pandemic started, I delved more into a melodic sound and tried to do something with that,” says Curbi about the single. “Over the course of last year, I really managed to nail my deepest and more melodic sounds and put them together in a way that I really felt comfortable with. This is when I came up with ‘Safe & Sound.’ I’ve just been working on a lot of different and versatile stuff, playing with my vocals as well, trying to come up with cool vocal melodies and different atmospheres and themes. That’s kind of how it came about.”
Curbi’s The Pattern EP drops on October 22nd via Tomorrowland Music.
