All proceeds of the remix will go towards the Cannavaro Ferrara Foundation charity, which works to help combat various forms of childhood and youth problems in Naples.
Back in September of 2020, Neapolitan techno heavyweight Joseph Capriati released his third studio album, Metamorphosi, via his own record label, REDIMENSION. We profiled Capriati about the LP, which stretched far beyond the borders of techno, touching on house, deep house, and more.
Now the Baron of Techno himself, Dave Clarke, is in on the action, having delivered a remix of Joseph Capriati and Eric Kupper’s luscious house track “Love Changed Me” featuring Byron Stingily with a version that trades Clarke’s usual electro grit and techno energy for dreamy, Chicago-influenced pads and piano licks.
“Dave wanted to do a version of ‘Love Changed Me’, my LP track with Eric Kupper and Byron Stingily, which meant a lot to me,” Capriati explained in a statement. “After hearing the spirit of the track, he sent me a house version. Dave Clarke, a genuine techno legend, had honoured me with a house remix. It sends the whole scene a message of musical freedom — never be scared to make art and be free, do what you love.
Additionally, Dave is incredibly generous and asked me to donate the proceeds of his remix to charity, so the whole REDIMENSION team and I settled on Foundation Cannavaro Ferrara.”
