Our expert curation team brings you the best tracks on Beatport you may have missed. This time featuring Mahandana, Greg Niro, Sam Guko, Ramyen, and more.
Mahandana – Die Weltanschauung [Ambious Records]
I discovered Mahandana through digging through the back end. His debut EP is a testament to what he has to offer in the future. The EP, titled Die Weltanschauung, consists of two world-class organic house tracks filled with percussive elements, groovy basslines, and euphoric symphonies that will leave you wanting more.
First up, the title track to the Die Weltanschauung EP is a top-tier tune with an offbeat groovy bassline, tribalesque rhythm, and uplifting harmonies that enhances the mood of the track and introduces us to Mahandana’s signature sound.
El Mundo & Zazou – Sands Of Time [Quetame]
A beautiful, dreamy, and timeless collaboration from El Mundo & Zazou on El Mundo’s new label, Quetame….you can close your eyes and forget about the pandemic for a moment.
Greg Niro – Georges [Oleeva Records]
The Belgian producer’s new album is a little more eclectic on the organic front with a piano line that takes you through the tracks and freely played percussions that gives it a haunting touch. The release is a silver lining to a challenging year. The lockdown gave Greg the perfect opportunity to hone his craft; and as he really found his sound.
Sam Guko – Diqui (Earth) [Atomnation]
This tune is taken off of Sam Goku’s stunning debut album, titled East Dimensional Riddims. The 11-track record is a journey into his hugely characterful club sound, complete with ambient and subtle instruments from his Chinese heritage. “Diqui (Earth)” is a track with cinematic soundscapes filled with subtle sonic details, environmental sounds, and hypnotic wind instruments combined with a broken beat.
Ramyen – Peter’s Pan [Shango Records]
Ramyen lives in the land of Peter Pan. Take a trip to Neverland with his first offering for Shango Records. This two-tracker can bring shining stars into a dark night.
NAOBA & Luigi Bridges – Tanoura [UUCHUL]
A stunning collaboration between NAOBA & Luigi Bridges. Ser is ‘to be’ in Spanish. In Armenian, it means love. To love is to be. “Tanoura,” which refers to the clothing worn by Sufi whirlers, is an intense and energetic edit of Iranian singer Dhafer Youssef. The track explodes with Sufi chants of sweet sorrow, a strong and powerful drum beat, and a vocal that keeps you on edge. At 110 bpm, it’s an organic groove with high tonics. This is a wonderful EP that merges Balkan and Middle Eastern motifs with techy grooves and bassy synths.

Menachem 26 – Nimrod (Coss & KYONGPAUL Remix) [Metanoia]
A great downtempo remix from Coss & KYONGPAUL — a Berlin-based live band by jazz drummer Hannes Dunker (Evelyn Kryger, Hannes Dunker Trio, MÖKKI) and producer Buddy Meyerholz (SYMBIZ). A beat-oriented and synth-heavy track that is driven by a dusty analogue sound with soundscapes, a bit-crusher, an arpeggiator; filters, rooms, and polyrhythms, this track has it all.
