The 7 Best 140 / Deep Dubstep / Grime Tracks On Beatport You May Have Missed

Our expert curation team brings you the best tracks on Beatport you may have missed. This time featuring Iron Gate Sound, Hebbe, Tigs, Monty, and more.

Youngsta, Riko Dan, Cimm – Hear That (Trends & Boylan Remix) [Sentry Records]

Boylan and Trends on remix duty are customizing the original “Hear That” from Cimm, Youngsta, and the London City Warlord Riko Dan on Sentry Records! The update on horns and the new bassline make this remix more intense and powerful!

Iron Gate Sound – Cornerstone (feat. Fikir Amlak) [Iron Gate Records]

What a nice track on the Australian label Iron Gate Sound with “Cornerstone,” featuring the American-Caribbean singer-songwriter Fikir Amlak! On a kind of melancholic dubby riddim, Fikir Almak delivers a shamanic chant with soulful and conscious messages, and the combination matches perfectly. One of my favourite tracks this month!

Tigs – Silent (feat. Peppery) [Raw Tactics]

Banger alert on Raw Tactics with “Silent” featuring Peppery by Tigs! On a heavy and groovy grime riddim, Peppery brings a catchy chorus and solid verses! And guess what… there is a Tuff-Culture remix on the same release!

Glume, Phossa – Banshee [Deep Medi Music]

Two of my favourite producers, Glume & Phossa join their forces on Deep Medi Musik. I always liked the approach of melodies in the deep dubstep scene of this duo and this track does not make an exception. “Banshee” presents an interesting alternation between a phrase with baroque influences and a mystic and stoner sound design that’s quite unique!

Hebbe – Jah Seen Rastafarai Dub [Basskruit]

Co-label owner and Rotterdam’s finest, Hebbe, appears on Basskruit with two heavyweight cuts for his first solo EP on the label. Appropriately titled to emphasize the unity of the Belgian and Dutch 140 scene. Minimalistic, deep, and heavy, that’s an essential one!

Sleeper, N-Type – Carbon [Wheel & Deal Records]

Check the last track from Sleeper and N-Type on Wheel & Deal Records. One vocal hook, a massive wobble, and a classic beat make this tune an evident riddim that we can’t wait to play on a big sound system!

Monty – Righteous [1985 Music]

Drum & Bass or 140 bpm, this beginning of this year is exceptional for the French producer  Monty! “Righteous,” the only 140 bpm track of the F4DE EP on 1985 Music is a heavy Deep Dubstep tune with a dark and oppressive sound design focused on reverbs and delay, also supported by a strong beat and some aggressive mid-range synths to keep the pressure! Dope!
