Now in public beta, the integration brings Beatport’s entire streaming catalog into Native Instruments’ flagship DJ software for the first time.
Beatport LINK‘s long-awaited integration with TRAKTOR PRO has finally arrived, making LINK’s revolutionary DJ streaming technology available to all TRAKTOR PRO 3 users.
Currently available as a public beta, with the official launch to follow in June, the integration is the capstone to a 16-year relationship between Beatport and Native Instruments.
Recognized as the leading professional DJ software used in clubs and festival booths worldwide, TRAKTOR PRO is the most widely adopted DJ performance software. LINK gives TRAKTOR’s massive user base a wide selection from which to mix the perfect DJ set, including the ability to search and playback full-length streams from Beatport’s entire catalog inside the software, the ability to create unlimited TRAKTOR playlists with Beatport tracks, the ability to instantly test new tracks with TRAKTOR FX, and more.
TRAKTOR’s integration with their controller line (like the TRAKTOR KONTROL S2, S3, S4 as well as X1, Z1, and F1) and broad compatibility with most industry-standard equipment will give LINK users more control over their mix than ever before.
Other perks include easy access to all of Beatport’s expertly curated charts and DJ sets curated by some of the world’s top selectors. LINK on TRAKTOR also features a full caching system that ensures currently playing tracks will continue to play when hit with temporary internet outages, and comes with an Offline Locker that will let users store up to 100 tracks in their software without an internet connection (coming with a second public beta version this month).
“At TRAKTOR, we’re tremendously happy to be joining efforts with our friends at Beatport to make this integration happen,” said Pedram Faghfouri, Director of the brand TRAKTOR. “We believe this paves the way for unprecedented workflows in music discovery and gig preparation, enabling both the unearthing of new releases and artists, as well as nostalgic exploration. The integration has the potential to expand a DJ’s musical sphere by providing access to a vast collection that is just one click away — and seamlessly integrated in TRAKTOR PRO. Regardless of whether users prefer to buy or stream music, this partnership will help them discover, browse, and organize music into playlists.”
This release of LINK and TRAKTOR represents the next great leap in Beatport’s continued commitment to furthering dance floor culture and music accessibility.
