Women in House Music Become a Reality

The project is currently asking for funding via Kickstarter.

A new book on the history of women in house music is currently in the final stages of development.

Written by music promoter Laila McKenzie and writer Ian ‘Snowy’ Snowball, Lady of the House features photos and interviews with women who’ve played a pivotal role in the development of house music through the decades, including Barbara Tucker, Sam Divine, Ellen Allien, Anja Schneider, Black Girl/White Girl, Ultra Naté, DJ Paulette, DJ Rap, Nicky Trax and many more. The forward was written by Carl Cox.

McKenzie and Snowball have been working on the book for the past eight months, and are now asking for donations of £25,000 to cover cost of printing and distribution.
