The 7 Best Electro Tracks On Beatport You May Have Missed

Our expert curation team brings you the best tracks on Beatport you may have missed. This time featuring Metamatics, CYRK, Aux 88, Reedale Rise, Versalife, and more.

Reedale Rise – Lorelei [Frustrated Funk]

Kicking off our selection for this week is a firm favourite at Beatport, Reedale Rise. His track, “Lorelei”, is a beautiful, melancholy-tinged electro floater. With weightless pads, crisp drums, and a killer melody, this is very pretty indeed. Be sure to check out Frustrated Funk for more of the same.

Aux 88 – Alias [Puzzlebox Records]

Next, we have Electro stalwarts Aux 88 with the absolutely blinding “Alias.” No messing about here — the track goes straight in with heavy drums and an acid line that will surely make you wince. The synth wiggles its way through the composition, its resonance ringing out at just the right moments. This is a dancefloor weapon!

CYRK – Reality [Lone Romantic]

CYRK is one of the most exciting duos in electro at the moment, using their hardware setup to churn out some seriously good tunes. This effort for Maceo Plex’s Lone Romantic is a prime example of that. “Reality” uses some extremely beefy drums to set the pace for the metallic synthline to do its damage. This is topped with a classic electro arpeggio that sends things to the next level. Great stuff!

Versalife – Novelty [Delsin Records]

Dreamy goodness from Versalife here with “Novelty”. Using tiny snippets for the clicky, fidgeting drums is a great contrast to the lush and deep pads. This really sounds like a soundtrack to a distant galaxy and is certainly an eyes closed, meditative gem.

Metamatics – Bodypop [Shipwrec]

Metamatics was legendary in the late ‘90s and early 2000s with his classic IDM sounds and a great album called Neo Ouija. He has put out a steady yet sparse stream of music since then and this contribution for Shipwrec is a highlight. Classic electro sounds and themes, done effortlessly.

D.I.E. – R U Married [Clone West Coast Series]

Another absolute classic here from OG team Detroit In Effect. “R U Married” enjoyed a resurgence in the mid-2010s and since then, Clone managed to get ahold of the track and release it digitally. This is essential for any electro fan and goes down well in any set. Top tip.

Studio Pankow – Heidelberger Platz [City Centre Offices]

All the way back from 2005, we find Move D, Jamie Hodge, and Kai Kroker under their joint Studio Panow moniker making some truly beautiful music. The whole Linienbusse album is amazing, but this is a particular highlight. “Heidelberger Platz” has a lovely broken rhythm that is the foundation for layers and layers of expertly crafted synths.
