With Beatport Insider, we dig into key stats from the Beatport store’s top-performing releases that came out over the last six months. This time, we look at the artists and labels that dominated our Techno [Peak Time / Driving] sales and streaming charts.
Drumcode’s Bart Skils takes home the prize with Beatport’s number one best-selling techno track in our Peak Time / Driving genre page with his immense dance floor stunner, “Roll The Dice.” The track is followed by yet another Drumcode success — Teenage Mutant’s “Dark Clouds (feat. Heerhorst, Peter Pahn),” and a nefarious remix of the iconic track “Born Slippy (Luca Morris Remix),” coming at us via Glasgow Underground.
With these tracks in mind, it’s no surprise that Adam Beyer’s Drumcode holds fast as techno’s most sought-after label, coming in as the genre’s best-selling imprint, while Reinier Zonneveld’s Filth On Acid takes the number two spot, and the legendary Umek’s integral 1605 label comes in at number three.
Beatport’s top-selling techno artist of the last six months in our Raw, Deep, Hypnotic section goes to French phenomenon Space 92, with Bart Skils taking home the silver and Belgian iconic Charlotte de Witte securing the bronze.
