Multi-instrumentalist Giorgia Angiuli has pieced together an inspiring song to raise money for the Italian Red Cross after collecting numerous musical submissions from artists all around the world.
Coming up on four months since her country entered a state of lockdown, popular Italian producer/live artist Giorgia Angiuli has used her time in isolation to channel her creative energy into a charitable project aimed at benefiting those in need during this global pandemic.
Hailing from Florence, one of the cities hit hardest by Coronavirus, Angiuli has seen the toll virus has taken firsthand. “We are facing a huge worldwide emergency, it’s not an easy moment, but we need to be united, stay positive, and be proactive,” she says.
To this end, Angiuli is getting her fans involved by inviting producers and musicians from all over the world to submit various musical compositions via her social media account. After selecting the top submissions, Angiuli has gone on to create “a unified piece of music,” titled “UNITED.”
Enlisting the help of her friend and fellow Italian producer, CIOZ, the final composition is a gorgeous and whimsical tune that fully captures the project’s ingenuity. From all the submissions sent in from various corners of the globe, there’s a total of 13 artists featured on the final version of “UNITED.” These finalists include Blue Phoenix, Boy Oh Boy, Charles Robert, Cuprite, David Koon, Ella Romand, Nairobi D, Nors Kode, Marshall White, Matias Donatien, Monochrome, One Lucky Spacetraveller, and San Hell Sing.
Mastered by LANDR, distributed by Label Worx, and available exclusively via Beatport, all proceeds from the track will go directly to the Italian Red Cross.
Soon after the release, Angiuli plans to drop a music video that shows all the track’s participants performing their part of the song’s arrangement from their studios, bedrooms, and living rooms. You can check out a sneak peek of the soon to be viral video below.
