Hype Label of the Month: Mango Alley

Beatport recognizes 15 years of progressive house excellence with Alex Golovanov’s dependable and inventive imprint, Mango Alley.

A truly global label, Mango Alley has never faltered in its mission to push its characteristic style into more distinguished dance floor territory. Thanks to the work of its motivated founder and A&R director Alex Golovanov, the label has been a beacon of elaborate grooves and bewitching sonic atmospheres since it first burst onto the scene back in 2008. Over the years, it’s helped establish the careers of dance floor titans like Quivver, D-Nox & Beckers, Rauschhaus, Gai Barone, and more while always displaying a deep-seated desire to elevate new talent on a regular basis, giving rise to artists like Ric Niels, Forty Cats, The Wash, Weekend Heroes and beyond.

Mango Alley’s hyperactive release schedule and its substantive blend of organic house and melodic house & techno is as noteworthy as they come. Still, its foray into the world of contemporary progressive house is where the label truly excels — regularly appearing on the Beatport genre’s bestseller charts and finding support amongst heavyweights like Nick Warren, Sasha, John Digweed, Joris Voorn, Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Patrice Baumel, Yotto, and more.

We caught up with Mango Alley label head Alex Golovanov to learn more about its 15-year anniversary and highlight three of the imprint’s most essential tracks. See below.
