Sales will help those affected by rising rates of domestic violence during the covid crisis.
Femme culture is returning this month with volume three of its charity-focused VA compilation series, once again rallying a vital set of underground dance music’s most skilled producers across one compilation to help raise money for United Nations Women, a global champion for gender equality.
Spanning multiple strands of house, techno and electronica across 18 tracks, HeForShe x femme culture Vol. 3 showcases producers like DJ Python, who compliments his recent album of sublime reggaeton reductions with a new cut, hero of the Lisbon underground and recent Beatportal cover artist, Violet, who continues her trip down the rabbit hole of rave history, and Andy Garvey, the rising Australian talent whose cerebral and physical electro is finding a worldwide audience.
There are also contributions from Nikita Zabelin, DJ BORING, ELLLL, S-Type and a new cut from Jas Shaw, one half of Simian Mobile Disco.
Reflecting the current COVID-19 crisis, donations from sales will go to ensuring that the needs of womxn and girls are recognised and addressed in the global pandemic, as domestic violence and sexual exploitation rise as a result of increased social isolation.
